David Ortlieb, the company's Owner and Artistic Director, studied art throughout his years of primary education as well as his first 2 years of college. Then, after 4 years at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design.
For the next several years, he worked in the Interior Design field in New York. It was, however, during a month long watercolor workshop in Italy, that the idea of starting the company was originally conceived. Inspired by the magnificent art, architecture, interiors, and culture of his travels, he formed Interior Domain in 1997. While based in West Palm Beach Florida, Interior Domain Designs has thrilled clients from Chicago to Miami and New York.
